Today is my last day of work before vacation!
Two whole work-free weeks.
We have lots of exciting things planned.
Ok.
That’s a lie.
We don’t have anything exciting planned.
We don’t have any plans at all.
Hubs and I are so indecisive, we couldn’t even decide on what to do for our two weeks of freedom.
We’ll probably sit around drinking beer and talking about all the renovations we want to do on the house.
But we won’t actually do any renovating.
Because we won’t be able to decide where to start.
But sometimes it’s nice to not have to make important decisions.
Like when you’re on vacation and the only decision you have to make is whether to have breakfast or lunch because you woke up at noon.
The answer, by the way, is neither.
It’s noon.
It’s time to start drinking!
Don’t worry.
We don’t start chugging bottles of beer as soon as the clock strikes twelve.
We have more class than that.
We make strawberry lemonade.
And then add bottles of beer to it.

Dogfish Head Tweason’Ale is a light and fruity strawberry beer. It also happens to be gluten free but I just like it, well, because it’s beer. And Dogfish.
STRAW-BEER-Y LEMONADE
(Recipe inspiration can be found here)
2 lemons, zested and juiced
2 cups of water
1/4 cup agave nectar
24 oz. strawberry beer (or any summer brew)
1 cup sliced strawberries
Zest lemon into large pitcher.
Squeeze in the lemon juice.
Stir in agave nectar and water.
Slice strawberries and add to lemonade.
Pour in 24 oz. cold strawberry beer just before serving.
Here’s a tip to drink hydrate responsibly:
Follow the 3-1-none rule:
3 drinks max
1 glass of water in between each drink
None if you’re driving.
Neither of us can ever decide who is going to be the designated driver.
Which is exactly why we’re not driving anywhere for vacation.
It would take away from our drinking time.

Ooh….classy indeed. If I liked beer,I’d try this!
